The history of the All American Brass goes back to Halloween of 2000, when the award-winning Baltimore Brass was formed. Fifteen years later, the Brass was invited to perform in the style of the New Orleans "second line" tradition for the retirement celebration of former Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed, and it quickly became apparent that there was a need for this style of music. With a resurgence in the popularity of the New Orleans style "second line" tradition, the Brass began performing on the street almost as much they were performing in the concert hall and the All American Brass was formed.
The All American Brass is comprised of all professional musicians with degrees from schools such as the Peabody Conservatory, Boston University, Towson University, Temple University, and others. The brass is also fortunate enough to house their own professional music arranger for the most unusual requests. When you book the All American Brass, you are booking “the best of the best” while supporting a great cause at the same time.
